Pie for breakfast? Yes!

Oh the joys of smoothie invention…endless possibilities and endless opportunities for a happy tummy! This morning I indulged in a warm apple pie smoothy. Without the apple actually…it was pear. And WITH tonnes of awesome and healthy ingredients. So really it’s not an indulgence. Hemp seeds and almond butter for protein and healthy fats, spinach for your green factor, cinnamon and cloves for the pie factor, warm almond milk for the mmm factor. Pear for sweetness and fibre and some chia seeds to bring it all together (and add their superfood greatness). Enjoy!

Pie for Breakfast
1 pear
1 tsp of cinnamon (more or less)
pinch of cloves (really just a pinch, it’s strong stuff!)
handful of organic spinach (but for the green colour you won’t know it’s there!)
2-3 heaped tsp of hemp seeds
1 tbsp of almond butter
1-2 tsp of chia seeds
1 c of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (warmed up if desired)

Blend it all together and get ready for a well fueled day!
